PODIATRY / CHIROPODY is the area of health care that looks after the feet and lower limbs, including the skin, nails and the way the foot moves.
Looking after your feet can make a difference to your general comfort in daily life, as the feet carry the weight of the body every day.
Problems with the feet can change the way we stand and walk. When we walk in an unbalanced way we may also notice discomfort in other places such as the knees or the lower back.
For this reason podiatrists often work together with other health professionals such as physiotherapists, doctors and other practitioners who look after the muscles and joints of the body.
Some of the foot problems commonly seen at the clinic are listed above. Please click on the links on the left for more information about each topic. For appointments please call the clinic during opening hours. For directions please see the Contact page.
