How to Prepare Your Pet for a Photo Session.
Most pet shoots go wrong for reasons that have nothing to do with the camera: too much energy, a full stomach, or an animal that has had no time to settle in a new room. This is the preparation we ask of every pet owner before a session at our Singapore studio.

Before the session
- Let your pet exercise beforehand to release excess energy — a calm animal photographs far better than a tired photographer.
- Avoid overfeeding right before the shoot.
- Bring your pet's favourite toys or treats; they are the fastest way to direct attention where we need it.
Behaviour and safety
- Tell us in advance if your pet is anxious, reactive, or sensitive to new environments and people — it changes how we run the session.
- The owner must be present throughout and remains responsible for handling the pet.
- Bring a leash, or a muzzle where necessary, for safety.
On the day
- Arrive on time — the session length is fixed, so late arrival directly reduces shooting time.
- Expect to spend the first few minutes letting your pet adjust to the room rather than shooting immediately.
- Patience is the single biggest factor in how the photos turn out.
Special considerations
- Let us know in advance about any health conditions or age-related concerns.
- For outdoor sessions, arrangements may change in adverse weather.

A: At Muridle Studio, the Pet Portrait session is 30 minutes for one pet (SGD 128) and the Paw Family session is 60 minutes for pets plus 2 owners (SGD 228).
Q: Can I be in the photos with my pet?
A: Yes — the Paw Family package (SGD 228, 60 minutes) covers pet solo shots plus interaction shots with 2 owners.
Q: Do I need to stay during the shoot?
A: Yes. The owner must be present at all times and stays responsible for handling the pet.
Q: How many photos do I get and how are they delivered?
A: Pet Portrait includes 5 professionally retouched photos and Paw Family includes 8, delivered as high-resolution digital files by email. Extra retouched photos are SGD 15 each, or SGD 50 for all photos from the session.
